Fern plants are on the top of the evolutionary tree of spore plants. Some fern species are of great value as ornament, medication and foodstuff. Composed of 250-square-meter exhibition greenhouse and a 50-square-meter breeding room, this fern garden collects more than 300 typical fern species originally distributed in tropical, subtropical and temperate zones in various populations and ecological systems (epiphytes, chomophytes, and those growing in soil or water). It serves as an ideal place for scientific research and science popularization.
